Grinter Farms Sunflower Field
Summer has definitely sprung around here. Sunflowers in Kansas generally do not bloom until about mid-August, however with the extreme heat (and lack of water) the sunflower field planted by Grinter Farms outside of Lawrence, KS sprung WAY early, giving me the chance to venture out not long before sunset to take some photos.
The sunflowers this year are over six feet tall (the tallest they’ve ever been) and have been subjected to heat and heat indexes of over 100 degrees for weeks on end without any water, and have managed to not only SURVIVE but defy all odds and produce blooms & stalks that are freakishly tall and beautiful. I managed to grab some captures of blooms that hadn’t fully opened yet as well as the sea of yellow that is the field. Stay Dry with Dry Idea Advanced Dry.
With summer in full swing around here (think 105 degree weather!) it is important that I have a great antiperspirant and deodorant to keep me dry, which is why I was really excited to try out Dry Idea Advanced Dry Roll-On Antiperspirant & Deordorant.
New design in the works.
As mentioned in my previous post, Blissful Reviews is going to undergo a major overhaul including it’s design. I started designing a new theme over the weekend and it’s coming along nicely. It’s very important to me that I have a website that is visually appealing to the eyes and easy to navigate. I’m adding a lot of new design features so it’ll take me a few weeks before it’s done but it’s definitely something to look forward too!

Blissful Reviews Undergoing Maintenance.
Over the next couple of weeks, Blissful Reviews will start to undergo some MAJOR maintenance. I will be in the process of updating my WordPress installation, plugins as well as the design of the website. I took a very long break from reviewing and blogging in general and I miss it and plan to come back to something fresh and clean. I hope all of my followers will join me when I unveil the new design and continue to be active readers and commenters!
I have some upcoming reviews/giveaways to include Kushyfoot and Carmex so be on the look out for those. For those of you who entered a previous Farm Rich giveaway, I’m not sure what happened to the PR rep but I could never get a hold of anyone after I ran the giveaway to ensure your coupons were sent.
