Being a “fur-mommy,” I am always looking out for my two dogs, Bella & Max, as if they were human children and I’m always on the search for the BEST products that are available to ensure that they are receiving the best nutrition, the best treats and the best quality of life possible. So when I got the opportunity to try out the services of Chewy.Com and the products they have to offer, I excitingly accepted and placed my order immediately and have been a fan ever since!

Chewy.com is responsible for delivering pet happiness to pets around the world and making sure that they offer only the highest quality products for pet parents to choose from. Chewy.com understands the important bond that pet parents have with their pet companion, which is why they only offer the best in services and products. Chewy.com ships 120+ brands of pet food and stuff for FREE (on orders $49 and over) with lightning fast delivery and also provides the ability to pre-schedule orders and offers customer discounts on their next order when they refer new people; they also will donate $10 to Best Friends Animal Society with every referral as well.
I placed my order consisting of 7 beef chews, 1 bag of tarter control biscuits, 1 bag of cranberry treats, 1 box of yogurt treats and a 6 pound bag of dog food for a total of $49.89, which also qualified for FREE SHIPPING. That is an amazing deal considering I can spend that much money on LESSER amount of product when visiting my local pet store. The order was placed on the 1st of the month, shipped the 2nd of the month and placed on my doorstep 3 days later. The delivery was extremely fast which was very important because the dogs were out of food by the day the package arrived, so even they were excited to get into the box of treats & food. Another amazing thing about Chewy.com is that they only offer the BEST prices for your favorite brands. My dogs have been eating Wellness dry dog food since I’ve had them and a 30 pound bag costs about $58, give or take a few dollars with tax. The same bag of dog food costs $47.99 through Chewy.com which includes NO TAX (except FL & PA) and FREE SHIPPING if I add a couple other items to my order; that $10 savings adds up over time and anymore, everyone could use the savings. Even though, I don’t use the feature of scheduling orders, Chewy.com offers customers the ability to pre-schedule orders that will automatically ship at every 2 weeks up to every 14 weeks so if you have an idea of when you run out of dog food, you can setup your account to automatically fulfill a new order so that you never run out of dog food again.
I highly recommend Chewy.com to anyone who is a pet lover, pet owner, and pet parent. If you want to give your animals the BEST products around at the BEST prices, check out Chewy’s selection and receive 10% off your first order by using the code: X9826 during the checkout process.

I’ve considered ‘rebranding’ Blissful Reviews for a while now. I first thought about it months ago, but quickly decided against the idea due to the reader base I have established, no matter how little it may be and the fact that I’ve established a relationship with representatives that I work for on a regular basis. However, I find myself not wanting to blog more often because I don’t feel certain blog posts fit with the theme of Blissful “Reviews,” such as more personal blog posts or those featuring more of my photography or imagery. Perhaps it is the reviews part of the Blissful Reviews name that turns me off to wanting to doing more personal blogging because after all, this blog was started for review purposes only, however as I’ve gotten back into the blogging world I miss having a personal outlet to express my OTHER thoughts, opinions and views about events and things that are happening in life that don’t necessarily fit here.
I haven’t fully committed to changing Blissful Reviews to a mix of personal AND reviews/giveaways for fear of losing the readers that I do have that do not care to read about personal life or happenings, but I also know I don’t have the time or energy to run two SEPARATE blogs to achieve my goal. I also have not yet decided if I will just change the name of the domain and have the new name redirect to the old or if I will completely switch to using a new domain…with that comes losing stats which I’ve worked hard to gain.
Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Do you prefer to read personal blogs along with reviews/giveaways or do you prefer the site to be one or the other? At the end of the day, I realize I blog for myself and only myself, however when it comes to review blogging those blogs are my opinions FOR the blogging world.

In two weeks time, I will begin my SECOND year of graduate school in the Social Work program at KU. I can hardly believe it even as I type the word, SECOND, out. This year (Fall & Spring semester) should be fairly “easy” because I am only taking the credits for my practicum and the practice class that goes a long with it. I’m still going to be working full time at my current job that I’ve also been at for TWO years, as well as completing 20 hours of practicum at said job. I was lucky to get approved for an employment based practicum otherwise I would have had to quit earlier than I wanted and planned for.
This time next year (August ’13), I’ll be starting my last and final year of graduate school and hopefully my last year of school, FOREVER! I’ll have to part ways with a job that I absolutely love as well as co-workers that I’ve become very great friends with, however it’ll be time for me to move on to something bigger and better. In my last year, I’ll be completing my clinical practicum which entails therapy duties and the like…I’m excited but nervous. I can’t wait for this year to get over with already so I can start the more interesting clinical courses!
Are you going back to school this fall? If so, what are you going to school for and where? What are you most excited about?

I have been a member of the Carmex Blogger Program for quite some time now and always get very excited when I know a new product is on the way; this time was no different. A few weeks ago, I received a Carmex beach bag full of goodies including the newest Carmex Stick in Pomegranate flavor. I have used Carmex products for years now and it’s always my number one go to when my lips are needing some love and attention; it’s also my go to product when I feel a fever blister coming on or when I already have one that’s surfaced. A few months ago, I signed up to be an Influenster member. Influenster is a great program that chooses various members based off their lifestyle, expertise and power of influence to receive themed boxes with various goodies instead to test and review. A few weeks ago, I received my SECOND VoxBox since joining the program: the Summer Beauty VoxBox and inside found some great goodies such as Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion, Tampax and Always Radiant Collection, Quaker Soft Baked Bar, Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color and Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme.

Summer has definitely sprung around here. Sunflowers in Kansas generally do not bloom until about mid-August, however with the extreme heat (and lack of water) the sunflower field planted by Grinter Farms outside of Lawrence, KS sprung WAY early, giving me the chance to venture out not long before sunset to take some photos.
The sunflowers this year are over six feet tall (the tallest they’ve ever been) and have been subjected to heat and heat indexes of over 100 degrees for weeks on end without any water, and have managed to not only SURVIVE but defy all odds and produce blooms & stalks that are freakishly tall and beautiful. I managed to grab some captures of blooms that hadn’t fully opened yet as well as the sea of yellow that is the field. If you’d like to see the rest of the set, please check out my sunflower flickr set.
