Recently, I’ve gotten more into makeup and learning new techniques on how to apply makeup and make the application of it look its best. I wasn’t ever really taught how to wear makeup or apply makeup when I was younger, so now that I am older I have taken upon myself to learn. Any chance that I get to review beauty or makeup products, I’m going to jump at because it gives me the opportunity to try out some fabulous products while continuing my learning in the area. So today’s #LetsTalkBums talk is going to be about BIDETS! Yes, the lovely low-mounted plumbing fixture that you sometimes see attached to a toilet that sprays water in order to provide you with more cleanliness after using the bathroom. Now, I don’t have some exciting or hilarious bidet story to tell because I’ve never been lucky enough to come across one in my life BUT I have heard about them. I felt that posting this today was more appropriate than last week because today marks the beginning of the end of my college career; I am officially starting the last year of my Masters of Social Work program at the University of Kansas and I couldn’t be more proud of myself. I wouldn’t go so far to call it depression because I know what depression feels like and that isn’t how I feel, but rather I’ve been feeling a bit down lately. I think it is a combination of being bored (because I was laid off at the end of June) and not having the means to really go out and do something fun or having the motivation to do anything! As a college student, I know all to well how expensive it is to attend school. After paying thousands of dollars in tuition and fees (some fees for things you’ll never use on campus!), you’d think that they (campus, bookstores etc) would give students a break when it comes to their text book costs…YEAH RIGHT! College textbooks are outrageously expensive and an area of complaint for most students because who wants to spend $600+ on books they will only use for a semester. Luckily, some people have gotten smart over the years and companies have opened up the world of textbook rentals which not only simplifies the process of buying your textbooks but it cuts costs in a major way.
